The EDEKA Logistics Centre in Malchow, Germany, has its highest electricity consumption of the year in the summer – that is when the fresh and frozen food stores are running at full capacity. It is a good thing that the 1,600-kWp roof-top solar system is also running at full capacity and covering a good 50 percent of the required electricity. In total, the system we designed generates approximately 1,400,000 kWh of electricity per year.
